While Delegates listen to our entertaining and informative speakers, their spouses will be out and about, experiencing the historical and modern-day delights that Williamsburg and its surrounding attractions offer.
On Monday, July 14, Guests will choose from the following two historical tours and lunch options:
Option #1 includes a morning tour of Colonial Willliamsburg, "America's Largest Living History Museum." Lunch will be provided at one of the area taverns, and Guests will have the opportunity to spend the afternoon exploring on their own.
They can visit the shops in Merchant's Square, visit the Governor's Palace, or discover the College of William and Mary. This option will also include a two-day Governor's Key to the City Pass that will allow Guests to return to Colonial Williamsburg again, without an additional admission fee, on Tuesday.
Option #2 is the perfect choice for both Civil War buffs and wine tasting enthusiasts. It includes a tour of Shirley Plantation, the oldest plantation in Virginia. It dates all the way back to the year 1619, and was home to Anne Hill Carter, mother of General Robert E. Lee. After the tour, a lunch buffet will be served at the Gabriel Archer Tavern at the Williamsburg Winery, Virginia's largest vineyard, followed by a movie and tour of the winery, and an exquisite wine tasting.
